When He Answers............

I love it when the Lord teaches me lessons that I ask for.
I've been praying that He would make me more humble, and strip me of my prideful attitudes.

Today, He is working on me. 

I woke up resembling Quasimodo (with a bloodshot eye and swollen eyelids) this morning, and at first I was fretful about it, but now I'm thankful.

 

Thankful that the Lord hears my prayers, and answers them in His time.

Thankful that He made my eye ugly, so that I could better see His beauty.

Thankful that He loves me, and proves it by responding. 

Thank You, Lord, for lessons in humility.

Thank You for aiding me in my fight against sinful pride.

Thank You for being willing to have Your face marred on my behalf at Calvary, Jesus.
